Yoga, Tea and Journaling
Sunday, March 31 2019
2:00 – 4:00 pm
People’s Coop Community Room
All-genders welcome, and children 12+

Please RSVP by March 29th
Fee: $30-40 (sliding scale) – Pay at event

Spend some time in self care with this afternoon of yoga, tea and journaling. We’ll begin with gentle yoga poses, preparing our bodies for tea and meditation, which in turn prepare us for reflection and journaling. We’ll be led through yoga poses by Tom Wilson (RYT, 200). Tom specializes in gentle yoga and body awareness. People of all abilities are welcome, including those who are new to yoga and/or prefer to practice in a chair. Stephanie Wilson will lead us through a meditative tea session, and then into a reflective journaling experience. Stephanie facilitates writing circles through Women Writing for (a) Change, Willamette Valley.

A Coastal Writing Retreat

Sunday, July 29th
10 am – 4 pm
with optional circle Saturday evening (free)

Oceanside, OR
$150

The thing I love about Oceanside, OR… there’s not much to do. I go to watch the waves, walk the beach, write, think, breathe. Please join me in the simplicity and exquisite beauty of this seaside town for a day retreat (with overnight option) at the Oregon Coast.

Please RSVP to womenwritingwv@gmail.com.  Space is limited. If you are interested in the overnight option, please note that you are are responsible for your own lodging arrangements. There are only 6 rooms at the venue (Three Arch Inn), and they will sell out quickly. Other lodging options also exist in Oceanside, mostly vacation rentals (Airbnb, Vacasa, etc.). I hope to see you there!

Incense_Hands

Incense, Tea and Writing
Sunday March 18
1 – 4 pm, RSVP for location
$50 – Pay at the event

Come and let your senses be inspired! In this workshop you will practice the art of Japanese incense appreciation, savor fine spring teas, and allow your creativity to show up on the page.

Japanese incense appreciation is an old art form with connections to poetry writing. As you “listen to the incense,” allow your mind to connect to your senses. It’s an experience like none other.

Incense, tea and light snacks provided. This event is for women. Please RSVP to womenwritingwv@gmail.com. You can bring cash or check the day of the event.
